Coming Soon... Love and Vampires

February is the month for love (at least according to retail merchandisers). Here in the executive offices of Blue Mountain News, we wouldn’t want to miss out on anything as important as love, so we’re breaking our long-time (well, two-year) tradition and publishing a February issue. It’s our way of showing our love to all of you.

In February we will include a special new feature in our paper that you’re invited to be part of. It’s called “Declare Your Love”, and it’s a way to tell your sweetheart – for all the world to hear – how much you love her, or him. Oh, and it only costs ten dollars. (I’m telling you this now, because you have to plan ahead and do it before January 22nd.)

When you purchase a message on our Valentine’s message board – in color, of course – you can write some special words expressing how you feel about the one you love, using your choice of one of our Valentine images. It’ll be printed in next month’s issue. Check out the ad on Page 3 (the one before this one) to learn more.
Yes guys, for less than the cost of an oil change, you can put some fresh new life into your relationship by telling the world (at least the BMN readership world) how much you love your gal. And my guess is that’ll last a lot longer than three months or 3,000 miles.

And ladies, no matter how big your man’s ego, what harm could there be in inflating it a little more? Go ahead and tell all of our readers what a stud you think he is.
OK, enough about February. Right now it’s January, and in this issue we’re reminding our readers what a wonderful treasure we have right here in Dayton. The Liberty Theater is the cultural center of our region and in the coming year it has scheduled a great lineup of movies and live productions.

The theater is starting off the new year with a wonderful weekend of movies. The annual New Year’s Eve Party features a film called Pirate Radio, a very funny comedy with lots of great rock and roll music. Food, drinks and a champagne toast are included.

The latest vampire sensation, Twilight: New Moon, will be on the screen at the Liberty on the first, second and third of January, in the evenings. And a special kid’s matinee will feature the animated film “Planet 51” each of those afternoons, and Tuesday evening.

More fine movies are coming in January, including the 1973 classic “The Sting” and the brand new release of “Sherlock Holmes”. Check out our special four-page feature this month about the Liberty Theater to learn about all the great stuff coming up this year. And there’s lots of other information about the theater there as well.

I hope all of our readers and advertisers have a Happy New Year, and all of us here in the executive offices look forward to another fun year of publishing the Blue Mountain News.
