Letters to the Editor
Thank You for Care
Dear Editor,
Have you ever wondered who really keeps Dayton's office and billing running smoothly? It is the women with whom you most often deal when you have a question or problem regarding the City. They are Trina Cole, Debbie Hays and Kassandra Dedloff.
Trina Cole is the City Clerk, Planner and person that really keeps an eagle eye on our finances. Trina is married to Dan Cole and they live in Waitsburg with their daughter Taelor and son Tyson. Trina had over ten years of prior city government experience, and she is now in her fourth year serving the citizens of Dayton. Trina has often said that the people of Dayton are the best she has ever seen or worked with.
Debbie Hays has been serving the citizens of Dayton for over seven years. Debbie is often the first one who welcomes you when you come to City Hall. Her main responsibility is the City's utility billing clerk; she also serves as Assistant City Clerk. If you have need of purchasing a cemetery plot or scheduling a funeral and/or burial, Debbie is the person to see. Debbie and her husband Bert are the proud parents of Heather and Logan. They have lived in Dayton for over 30 years, and Debbie graduated from Dayton High School (we won't say which year). Debbie meets everyone with a big smile and will do everything possible to take care of your needs.
The third member of the front office team is Kassandra Dedloff. Kassandra graduated from Dayton High in 2003 and is married to Steven Dedloff, They have two children, Jayden and Madison. Kassandra's responsibilities include making bank deposits, filing, answering the phone (which never seems to stop when I am in there), and receiving payments at the front window. She works part-time in the office and, during the summer, is the manager of the Dayton Swimming Pool. As pool manager she is responsible for the lifeguards and scheduling. Her pleasant demeanor and cheerful smile make a visit to City Hall an enjoyable stop.
All of these ladies are a valuable asset to the City of Dayton and we are very lucky to have them. They are dedicated to serving you in the most friendly and professional manner at all times and under all conditions. Stop in, say hello, and get acquainted.
Craig George, Mayor
City of Dayton
