"Paint the Town" Contributors Make a Huge Impact on Waitsburg's Downtown

With the generosity of the following contributors, more than a dozen historic buildings in downtown Waitsburg were painted during September and October:

  • Waitsburg Commercial Club - $500
  • Commercial Club Commerce Committee - $1,000
  • Donna Little Wolf - $1,000
  • American Legion Women's Auxiliary - $250

In addition, most building owners who participated in the "Paint the Town" project contributed funds toward the project.
Waitsburg Hardware donated lots of brushes, rollers and other painting tools and accessories. Many other folks in Waitsburg also donated equipment, supplies and/or their time toward the project.

All of the people involved in the paint the town project want to give special thanks to the Sherwin Williams Paint Store in Walla Walla, and its manager, Brian Richards. Sherwin Williams donated five-percent of the paint used in the project, and then gave a 40% discount on the remaining paint used.

The following buildings were painted during September and October as part of Waitsburg's "Paint the Town" project:

  • Ye Towne Hall
  • Jimgerman Bar
  • AMO Art
  • Whoopemup Cafe
  • The Farmer's Café building
  • The Crisp Building
  • Waitsburg Liquor Store
  • The Coppei Building
  • The Mock Building
  • EZ Way
  • The White Stallion

Jeff Broom provided paint and labor for his Building on Main Street, as did Ed Larson on his Preston Ave. building which houses the Whetstone Pub.
